remember that catchy little tune from Blues Clues? HAH. We've been
busy talking about mail and today we ended our mail unit by
visiting the Post Office! We are lucky to have a post office literally
behind our school playground! We bundled up and were off to send our
families their Valentine's. When We got back we read this hilarious book called Mille waits for the Mail.
Here are a few pictures of activities we completed during our mail unit! I of course forgot to take pictures of our centers during this unit so just imagine cute mail centers. :)
We practiced our sequencing skills with this cute little sheet!
We made Postal Service Hats! You can find this template at Making Learning Fun :)
We charted things we could send in the mail, delivered mail in our pretend post office and practiced writing and reciting our address's too!
Tomorrow is our 100th day of school so I will be back with a post soon. Happy Tuesday Y'all!
One of my co workers was talking about how in years past she has walked children to the post office to mail valentines! (Ours is really close too!)
ReplyDeleteI think that is such a great idea!! I am definitely going to have to write that down for next year! :)
